N.R.M stands for “National Republic of Dreams” and this video was done in conjunction, and shortly after, the tragic events on the October square in Minsk of 2006, following the disastrous elections rigged by Alexander Lukasjenko. the clearing of the square´s demonstrators, the disappointment, the brutality of the regime, in this country in the middle of Europe, stands a a shame now in the light of the Arab spring. We can show our holy support for Egypt, Libya, Bahrein and Syria (and we should) but can´t lift a finger to end this violent, brutal, oppressive and nerve wrecking dictatorship of Belarus?
Its more than eight years since I did this video. Never in my life could I have dreamed that still so little has changed in this country.
